I have always wanted to go to Carnival in the Caribbean, but we never seemed to be in the islands at the right time. My friend and photographer, Brian Sprague, and his friend, Sarah, celebrated their birthdays in in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and were kind enough to share their experiences, including Carnival!
