In college, having the day after Halloween off from school was a blessing, although I really had not known of the holy day before starting Marquette. All Saints Day or All Souls Day, November 1, celebrates those who have passed before us. In Mexico, the day is known as Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebrating the lives of loved ones who have died with food, drink, music, and prayer.
