Taste of the Caribbean takes us to Harbour Island in the Bahamas, a short 10-minute boat ride from the northern end of Eleuthera. This island known best for the famous Pink Sand Beach on its eastern shore, is also home to some fantastic restaurants, including Sip Sip, known for cocktails and gossip, “sip sip,” but also for delicious food by chef Julie Lightbourn. It’s time for a day trip! The fifth part of our Eleuthera trip report takes us on a day trip to another of the islands of the Bahamas, Harbour Island. Harbour Island, “Briland” to the locals, is located just a mile or two off the coast of Eleuthera. Although it is only 3-1/2 miles long and 1-1/2 miles wide, the island boasts a number of luxurious accommodations, along with many restaurants and shops, all in a classic Bahamian style.
